Standing up for Vision Loss
"For people out there that have choroideremia, you’re not alone in this. We’re here, we’re trying to push forward and find out new things about CHM every day. We’re trying to build and educate others to let (them) know they’re not alone." - Mason Williams

•CAUSE•

The Choroideremia Research Foundation Inc. is an international, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to find a treatment or cure for Choroideremia (CHM), a rare inherited retinal degenerative disease that causes blindness.

CHM affects 1 in 50,000 males and progresses at various rates in individuals, and is characterized early on by peripheral vision loss and childhood nighttime blindness. There is no known treatment, though the FDA has recently begun clinical trials.

Angels for Mark was started by Mark’s parents to aid in the effort to raise money for CHM research. Since their start, Angels for Mark has put on concerts, car shows and more to aid the efforts of the Choroideremia Research Foundation, which sees 94% of all funds raised going to research initiatives.

•DESIGN•
The "Be You" design stems from Mason's belief in the importance of not trying to be anybody else. Don't cover up your "flaws", don't be ashamed, just enjoy life the best you can by being yourself with no regrets about it. It relates to anybody and anything, whether life is good or tough. While it's simple advice, it is something always worth being reminded.

HOW TO MEASURE THE FIT

Measurement Notes: Length is measured from highest point of shoulder. Sleeve length at the top of shoulder.

Care Instructions: Machine wash cold. Non-chlorine bleach, when needed. Tumble dry medium or hang dry. Do not iron over decoration.

MEASURE YOURSELF

Neck – Measure all around the middle of your neck. Keep enough room for you to slide a finger in between the tape and your neck.

Chest – Lift your arms and wrap the tape around your chest. Keep the tape around the highest part of your chest while still under your arms. Drop your arms to get the most precise measurement.

Sleeve – Measure from the middle of your neck, down your shoulder to the elbow. Then take the measurement from your elbow to your wrist. Add the two for your total sleeve measurement.

Waist (Pants) – Wrap the tape around your waste just above your hip. Keep the tape loose enough to slide a finger between the tape and your waist.

Inseam (Pants) – Take your favorite fitting pair of pants and place them on a flat surface. Measure along the inside of the leg from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the pants for your inseam. Depending on your sizing preference you can round up or down to get your desired inseam. If you plan on machine washing, take shrinkage into account before you make your sizing decision.
